If you have thermostatic controls turn them down! Do you really need to heat the Bathroom up to the temperature of a Turkish sauna? Turn them down and save money. When your parents told you to put a jumper on as a child they did it for a reason, to get heat requires fuel, and fuel either gas or electricity is money, so turn them down and save.
Another good tip is if you have a leather sofa (or even a cloth one!) put a throw onto it, if you sit on a throw you are placing a layer of insulation between you and the leather and subsequently your body heat will remain more stable and you will remain warmer. If the room feels really cold wrap it around you, or even better tempt your other half underneath to give you a cuddle and keep warm together!!
